Red, white and blue are the colors traditionally used by the Coast Guard and the national colors.The compass rose symbolizes the wide scope of the Operations Systems Center mission providing information and technological support to the Coast Guard's search and rescue, logistics and personnel support functions.The arched lightning flashes signify the Operations Systems Center's major continuous operational focus of information systems and databases.The white annulet denotes Operations Systems Center's assurance that information is accessible to the Coast Guard "around the clock and around the world".The gold bezant and the star reflect Operations Systems Center's highest core values.


SUPPORTERS

The crossed swords refer to teamwork and strength and Operations Systems Center's readiness to promote homeland security, maritime safety and law enforcement.
